boot problem with USB connected (kernel 2.6.12.5)
hi all!
I just got a 2.6.12.5 kernel on slackware 10.1 in my hp pavilion zv5200, using xushi's guide. It was so easy!!
Everything seems to work just fine, except for one weird PCI error that I get when booting with an USB device plugged in (I have a flash memory, an usb keyboard and an usb mouse). If something USB is connected, system can't boot and I only get a PCI-probing message and it stucks... no kernel panic, no nothing.
it isn't like a big trouble, but I don't like the *need* to unplug everything.
One more thing... what's better? modules or built-in? I know kernel shall look for the modules it needs whenever it needs them... so what's the difference? how works better?
