nyarghhhh.... well you can use things like rox or fbdesk, but that really kinda defies the whole point of *box desktops. Hey let's make a super fast and streamlined desktop manager and then cover it with junk!! hmm... but those apps do exist if you really want them. Just remember why you're using something as small as blackbox over somethign as bloated as gnome or kde...
what do you mean when you say "changing keyboard layout?" do you have some sort of weird keyboard settup or something? Or do you mean you want to bind certain keystrokes to certain programes?
