best partitions for 3 hds w/ slack 9.0?

hda 27 gig
hdb 80 gig
hdd 27 gig

now im hoping to at some point create an ftp or a web server outta of this machine once i become knolegable enough. hda i was going to do a 400mb swap or less, 5 gig / the rest for /usr. hdb /home 40 gig and on hdd i was going to put maybe 1 gig to /var. now i have alot of space left over what would be the best way to deal w/ this? i have read in past posts to make / bootable then i have also seen 20 mb for /boot on hda. all replys welcom. windows falls on its face on this machine because it is a dual amd cpu, 1024 gig ecc ddr ram. i no iwill have to compile the kernel to accept the 2 cpus.
