tommcd Senior Member Registered: Jun 2006 Location: Philadelphia PA USA Distribution: Lubuntu, Slackware Posts: 2,230 Rep:	If you are still booting the huge kernel you may see a slightly faster boot time if you make an initrd according to the README in the /boot directory and boot with the generic kernel instead of the huge kernel. You didn't mention whether you were booting the huge or generic kernel so I wanted to point that out. Last edited by tommcd; 10-16-2009 at 05:51 AM.
