Hi, got a problem. I have been using XFCE for 2 weeks with no problems, everything working nicely, set up the desktop with a nice wallpaper, menu set and working with everything. Yesterday I opened up Nautilus to manage some files (dont really like the XFCE file manager) everything seemed ok until I switched my system back on Today, XFCE loads up fine but my wallpaper has gone and changed to a blank dark screen and nothing happens when I right click on the desktop ie no menu. When I start Desktop Settings from the menu on the panel it starts up fine but when I try to set the wallpaper nothing happens. Everything else seems to be fine, taskbar, panel and all apps, just this problem with the desktop.
Thank you everyone for your response, I restarted xfdesktop and now everything is back to normal, for some reason xfdesktop was started when xfce is started.
