Question xfce Desktop

I just recently installed the XFce Desktop but I cannot figure out how to run it? I am not sure which script to edit to get the desktop to run (or at least be recognized when I do the switchdesk command). Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

To add it as your default desktop whenever you type startx is to run xfce_setup and it will do all the work for yuh...
