On my tv i get the programm running (eg mplayer totem etc) but a blank windows where in my monitor i c the video . Sounds something like overlay 2 me . Any ideas?????

I use the 3.7.0 ati drivers. When i installed my card on red hat 9 it had created a group in my start menu from which i could adjust tv out and stuff. Any idea where that might be? Any other idea? Come on!

I was dealing with the same issue. At the moment I found one solution that works with mplayer.
Assuming you are using gmplayer(mplayer with gui) use the command:
gmplayer -vo x11 -zoom

similar logic can be used for mplayer if you aren't using the gui interface

mplayer didn't work out with neither did the new (3.7.6) drivers from ati! Bummer!
