Unhappy Mouse Stops Working

I have Mandrake Linux 9.2 and I have a Microsoft Intelli-mouse (USB) and I accidently unplugged it while running linux. I rebooted and got a little setup wizard for my mouse when I came to the booting up menu. I set the mouse options to what I had when I installed it (P2 - Standard), but now it doesn't seem to work at all???

Can anyone tell me how to fix it?

Thanks

have you tryed configuring the port the mouse is allocated to?

I had this problem with my printer i unplugged it during instillation and it linux did not know where on earth it was, it took me 2 hours to configure it to my usb port, it took me so long because what i knew about linux at that time could fill a walnut shell

Allocated? Should be more like assigned to. And how is mentioning your printer problem useful to a mouse problem?

What does your XF86Config-4 file state for your mouse settings? Do you possibly have another mouse to test or use to reconfigure with? Have you tried to unplug and replug back in, rebooted and then reinserted to see if it autodetects the mouse?

sorry i mentioned this becuase i thought that the reason why the mouse was not working was becuase it was not configured through the usb port.
