ps2 mouse stops working with devfs

hello

i recently compiled (from source) and installed devfs on my system. everything works fine, i have graphics, sound and the mouse works fine too.

BUT: sometimes the mouse just stops working. i can move the mouse around, and the cursor wont move. then I can restart X (ctrl+alt+backspace) or restart devfsd (with kill -HUP).

I wonder why this happens and how to get around this problem.

thanks

raven
