Need more input. What error message is generated? Are the sites you're having problems accessing https only? Are they registered certificate sites? Is it only from the one system? What browser are you using? Need to answer these questions to get the best answer possible.
Some ideas would be to make sure you're dumping your caches and history and clear your cert state. The secure sites that attempt to auth through certs can have those certs revoked, thus killing access.
Thanks for all of your input. It is not a DNS problem. I can ping google and others when I put the IP in the address bar then the DNS resolves the name and won't connect to it. I can sill get certain sites like google but not many others. I have also disabled IPV6 but to no avail. this only happens in F10 and no others even if I upgrade. I would love to put an error up but it's the same error if you put in an incorrect web address. yum will not connect to livna ether. This is not just a firefox problem but an accross the board internet problem. I am at a complete loss
I think it's a Firefox-3.0.4 problem, because I can ping & dig all those website that Firefox can't find.
I have virtually no problem with reaching any of those websites using Firefox 3.0.4 from Ubuntu 8.10 or from Fedora 10 live CD. So I'm thinking again it is a IPv6 problem.
Here it is Guys, heres the BIG fix, follow instructions below.
This problem also has to do with AT&T Sbcglobal.net(MY ISP), if two providers have this problem it may be the whole internet.
