Dreaded E-MU 1212M

Greetings all. I guess this is the correct place to put this, if it's not, admins feel free to move it.

Anyways, I have a question about the E-MU 1212m sound card. I have had this card for almost two years and while the partially working driver that had finally been released a while back works, it is just that - only partially working.

I have searched like crazy all over alsa mailing lists, other forums, etc, so I figured here might be my last hope. Does anyone know if this driver is ever going to be completed? It seems as if absolutely nothing has been done to it since its initial release about a year and a half ago (or whatever it was exactly). Even stranger yet, other E-MU sound cards are now being supported with even better drivers. The main issue is that this card cannot play any sample rate other than 44100 or 48000 KHz AND one has to manually select which one it plays at.
