Low pitch sound in VirtualBox guest.

Hello,

I'm running a Slackware 14.2 Guest VM in VirtualBox 5.1.22 and the audio is coming in at a lower pitch than it should be. For example, Stephen Colbert sounds like a much smoother John Wayne (maybe not a great example but pitch wise it works).

I really don't know anything about troubleshooting audio so any info needed, please let me know.

Have you checked the audio settings in Pulse Audio and ALSA?

Klaatu did a podcast about troubleshooting audio problems a couple of weeks ago. You may find it helpful. It's episode 11x7.
