Shouldn't that be:
root@wildblue:~# mount -t iso9660 /dev/cdrom /mnt/cdrom
root@wildblue:/dev# mount -t iso9660 hdc /mnt/cdrom
root@wildblue:/dev# mount -t iso9660 hdd /mnt/cdrom
Check your relational references. Notice the addition of the "/" before dev in the first command and the absent "dev/" in the last two. Could that be it? (Could also be a typo from when you wrote the post and I'm completely off.
