smbfs getting problem!!!


Hi Folks,
My smbfs mount got the problem and I checked the log file as following:

[2005/07/10 18:51:21, 0] client/smbmount.c:send_fs_socket(383)
mount.smbfs: entering daemon mode for service \\172.16.1.252\bcorenas2, pid=28082
[2005/07/10 18:55:08, 0] client/smbmount.c:do_connection(160)
28082: session request to 172.16.1.252 failed (Called name not present)
[2005/07/10 18:55:08, 0] client/smbmount.c:do_connection(160)
28082: session request to 172 failed (Called name not present)
[2005/07/10 18:55:08, 0] client/smbmount.c:do_connection(160)
28082: session request to *SMBSERVER failed (Called name not present)

and message log extracted from RedHat Linux 9
Jul 10 14:23:27 BCore kernel: smb_writepage_sync: failed write, wsize=46, result=-9

May I know wat is the error here? Then I can fix the problem....Please advise me........... Thanks

Please put the comman that you issued and also mention the share details at your server.

Hi Rinish,

The share details are Linux 9 with the smbfs mount to Windows 2003 Storage. I use the command mount to get connection among them. Like:

mount -t smbfs -o username=<username>,passwd=<passwd> //172.16.1.252/bcorenas1 /bcorenas1
The above directory called bcorenas1, which I created on Linux and Windows box.
