Problems:
Simply, RH9 cannot be installed from CDROM and Ftp, generic messages here.
Error: (From CDROM)
Cannot find harddrives.
Error: (From FTP)
Cannot read from rpm header list.
I think I have found a way to do it... If I can install it, I'll post here how to do this.

Hi
have u got a raid controller installed on that box? if so then u have to boot with the raid controller software that comes your proliant. Once u have configured your raid it will ask u what OS u want to install (I think it will give u the option for a linux install not sure!!). If the software is outdated then try downloading the newer verion of that cd from compaqs site.
Hope this helps
cheers

There is no problem with the cd....but it is a problem with RH9 and Compaq....
You can install using another IDE hd....First copy the install images from cd to a IDE hd and then boot from it......
It is all done...

Hello,
The method I used did not worked at all. When I searched redhat.com, I saw that this Proliant ML350 G3 is only hardware certified with Enterprise editions and RH 7.3.
Thanks a lot and think twice before buying this product.
