Partitioning Trouble

How do I partition Linux Redhat 9.0 Fedora 3? I tried using the automatic but it didn't work. I read that if you are going to have a dual-boot system, you should install windows first. Therefore, I have Windows XP and it's installed on NTFS (currently using 152 GIGS on my ATA HD). How can I take 75 gigs of the NTFS space and convert it to a type Linux will install onto?

Partion the Windows XP partition into two partitions with XP Drive manager in root - go into System Admin. I will go to my XP Home Edition and try to give you a better idea - however the Windows XP Help is good especially if your online - look up partion drive in XP Home edition.......... It will work without crashing your XP system
and losing data - just make sure you use the right drive to instal FC/3 and let Linux make its own partitions in the second drive. I did my dual boot that way.

I understand that and all, it's just that there is no way to add a partition in primary space on a drive that is designated as using the entire drive as primary spave for windows xp home while your using windows xp home to try and partition it. Wish there was a free program, I'm sure there is one but I haven't found one.
