Question Onboard NIC not working...

Hello All -

I recently installed RH 9.0 on my HP Pavillion 751n. During the install RH did not recognize my onboard NIC (SiS 900/PCI). I then added it manually and then I tried to activate, no go. I received an error message that said the iptables were bad. So, I configured the iptables and tried to activate it again. No luck. It said it could not get a host IP address. I'm using Cox HSI, and DHCP.

Any suggestions? Thanks

Try disabling iptables or your firewall and then what is the output of ifconfig -a

And if your using dhcp, is it running to obtain an IP?

More details please.

Cheers.
