Question ITE 8212 RAID and AS 3.0

I have a driver disk that I used to install on a RAID stripe set (a gigabyte motherboard).

I now am trying to install on AS 3.0 from scratch and find that the same diskette of device drivers is not working. I have booted off the initial boot CD and at the prompt, specified 'expert' as I had under redHat 9.0.

I am asked for the disk, but end up having to select the disk driver, etc as if it is not finding the device. I am later again queried for the disk or if I have the driver for this. This did not happen under Redhat 9.0.

Am I missing something here to get this to work under AS 3.0?
