Question Database App That can be used with Red Hat Linux 9.0

Can Mysql 5.0 be used as a database app for Red Hat Linux 9.0.Is there any limitations?

Cant see why it wouldnt work under RH9, as long as you are using the 2.4+ kernel it should be fine. Look at this page for more information.

Alternatively, you could use OpenOffice.Org Database, depending on what you need. I havent used OO's DB though, so cant comment on it.

Hi,

I have RedHat parked on the sideline at the moment. I am running MySQL server and OpenOffice 2 under Ubuntu. I have an inventory database application with Open Office Base used for the application to manipulate and resent the data, the data stored in a MySQL database, and the MySQL odbc to hook everything up. It works well for me.

worked fine on centos 3 which is a very similar distro. IMHO should be fine.
