it is very UNWISE to use the install disk AS a software repo

it is VERY out of date
use it to install ONLY!!!!!
then after you register your install with redhat and have the RHN repo installed that you get with the required support contract
https://www.redhat.com/apps/store/desktop/
you have to buy the REQUIRED support contract ( after the 30 "free trial")

just run a update
Code:
su -
yum update

and use RHN ( and if needed rpmforge or epel ) to install software from
the RHEL6.5 install dvd is already 6 months OUT OF DATE

as to making a local repo
install FROM RHN the program "createrepo"
Code:
su -
yum install createrepo
also look into buying a redhat license for the satellite services
