I recently installed Puppy 4.2 for a friend of mine on their desktop PC. I got the OS up and running quickly, but am now facing an internet connection issue, or rahter, an issue with SeaMonkey.

I am able to get a Wifi connection (or so the Wifi widget says. Ping won't confirm anything), but after setting up a firewall, I am unable to use SeaMonkey to browse. I tried reinstalling the firewall, letting the connection (wlan0) have free acess, its IP have free acess, etc. but am still unable to browse.

I don't know if this could be

• A Firewall Issue (most likely)
  An Issue with the Browser
  An NDISWrapper Issue
  Something Else

I ended up just reinstalling so I could rid myself of the firewall, which was what was causing all of my trouble. I don't know how to uninstall or disable that, so that was the only way.

You can post your question on offical puppylinux forum. May be someone will answer or you can find somes useful instructions.
