video examples using emacs

Hi,

1 - Does anyone know a good site that has video examples that shows how to use emacs/vi to programming C, C++ and Java applications?

2 - Is there a dh_make command alike for SuSe, Fedora and slackware?

Thanks,
Pedro

The method is the same, no matter which text editor you use. There will be differences when it comes to using the editor as a development environment. Is that what you are asking about?

What is dh_make?

Since I don't have friends that uses emacs as a development environment, I don't have any one that I could learn in practical how to use as emacs. The manuals around the emacs aren't enough for me (I'm so ignorant!) because I can't see the examples to understand better. What I would like to know is, if there exists a place where I can understand emacs better, by viewing people working with them.?

Make sure you're in the program source directory, and issue this:

dh_make -e your.maintainer@address -f ../gentoo-0.9.12.tar.gz

Of course, replace the string "your.maintainer@address" with your e-mail address for inclusion in the changelog entry and other files, and the filename with the name of your original source archive. See dh_make(1) for details.
