where is the .emacs file in the emacs source code tarball?

Hello, I have to hack somehow this file but I cannot find it, does someone know where in the code is it?

Do you mean the ~/.emacs file? I think it gets generated automatically upon startup if it doesn't exist so it isn't included in the tarball.
But if you want to edit it:
cd ~
vim .emacs

The answer is: nowhere

You write it yourself: otherwise functions and variables all have their default values.
