relocation truncated to fit


I write a program with assembly8086 and compile that with nasm in fedora8
When I compile that make obj file but when I want make modif file whit ld -s -o myfile myfile.o get this error:
relocation truncated to fit: R_386_16 against '.data'
how solution this problem?
