question about pthread impelementation of task queue model

Hello,
does any one know of a good C implementation of distributed worker crew model, (or distributed task queue - another term for it). I am looking for pthread impelemntation, which uses condition variables (pthread_cond_wait and pthread_cond_broadcast). Please let me know if you have such code which you are willing to share or you have a pointer to such code. I am not looking for a very fancy code - just something simple and relatively efficient.

I have implemented my own version of centralized task queue, but I have some strange bug, where pthread_cond_broadcast does not wake up a thread , which I am almost positive is waiting on the correct condition variable.

THank you much for the response,
Mike
