Kdialog--control position of window

This seems like it should be simple, but.....

When creating a dialog box using Kdialog, how can you control the position of the window that is created?

One specific example is kdialog --passivepopup. This creates the popup in the top left corner of the screen, where it is easy to miss.

Other dialog appear at the center of the screen, which is OK, but it would still be nice to have control.

this is an old thread, but in case somebody else stumbles upon it later... you can use standard xorg geometry parameters, for example :

Code:
kdialog --msgbox "i'm elsewhere" --geometry +900+600
original syntax is

Code:
1000x1000+0+0 or (xsize)x(ysize)+(xoffset)+(yoffset)
but i don't think size works for most kdialog output modes
