Can somebody give me information of how can I send data to the parallel port (using C)? I'm trying to do an electrical system to make things like turn on/off the light of my bedroom

you'll need to access the port at low level (address is normally 0x378) beyondlogic.org (i think that's the right address) a great source of information on this. i also personally had really good experiences of a library called parapin, which helps to abstract the pin data and bit operations a good deal. have a google for it
