How different are nosegneg libpthread libraries

Want to know how different the pthread libraries present in nosegneg of /lib/i686/nosegneg (which are present in the latest distributions of linux e.g Fedora core 6) are from other pthread libraries such as tls, or generally found in /lib.
I plan is to use nosegneg libraries as there are the latest and i could not find a proper info about this libraries.

Thanks
Saleem
