hostname and root folder


I have xampp installed on my linux mandrake 10.0 the xampp is in /opt/lampp/lampp
where can I get my hostname and root folder..Where should I copy the .php folders to run correctly...

To know the apache document root, locate your httpd.conf and read
the value for DocumentRoot in this file

I think you want to know the server name instead of the hostname,
am I right ? if so, read the value for ServerName in httpd.conf
