Question Help with OpenGL

I am having trouble with using openGL on my home computer. I made a program at a computer lab on campus and had no trouble changing the size of a point by using glPointSize(111.0); (Which was done in Red Hat). Now when I run the same program at home on my Mandrake 10.0 machine, glPointSize(111.0); doesn't do anything. It always draws just a tiny dot, or pixel. Does anyone know what's going on here, and how to fix it? I'd like to program at home. Thanks.

Well, I don't really know from experience, but here's what I pulled up in a quick google.

Quote:
Not all sizes are supported when point antialiasing is enabled. If an unsupported size is requested, the nearest supported size is used. Only size 1.0 is guaranteed to be supported; others depend on the implementation. The range of supported sizes and the size difference between supported sizes within the range can be queried by calling glGet with arguments GL_POINT_SIZE_RANGE and GL_POINT_SIZE_GRANULARITY.
