Look up the data sheet for the device you're plugging in.

Unless the device is designed to provide that information, the computer can't retrieve it.

Hi,
actually the device i am gonna plugging in raspberry pi board that may be any kind like laptop , mobile or it may be anything.
So, i want the solution which should be target device independent and target device's operating system independent.
Is it possibe though kernel module ?
or is there any other way ......

thanks.

As I said (I thought very clearly) above:

The RPi doesn't have a functional USB device port anyway...and neither do laptops, or any other computers that I'm aware of.
