I followed all the commands that are explained in that article & I connected my LED connections ........But its not blinking.....

Unless you tell how exactly it isn't working, no one will be able to help you. Post which commands you tried, and which errors you got.

Please reread the post from ErV

Also use a title which discribes the problem.
Help me is often ignored.

I have fixed the awful title and, since this may be a Programming issue I have moved it to the Programming forum

Resmi, Your link drops us in page 8 of an article. Did you read all the article? Have you digested the links that XavierP kindly posted to guide your questioning style.

And Finally, is this homework? (Good luck with your BE) Please show us your code, notes regarding compilation etc and any error messages generated. I'm also wondering why you didn't make your first enquiry on the FSM website in the first instance, among others might be having similar difficulties with the code?

No. You didn't.

Because if you did, it would work.

Until/unless you tell EXACTLY what you did - INCLUDING building the led connector - no one will be able to help you.

I tried that code with the commands as the mentioned in that
before removing the inbuilt parallel ports parport & parport_pc the application program is working properly.but at that time the memory location 0x378[i checked it by using the command #cat /proc/ioports] is using by parport0

So for getting the memory location 0x378 to my parallelport I have to remove that parpot. This parport is u using by parport_pc.So at first I removed parport_pc,then parport0[at this all my LEDs are blinking].the commands I used after this are written below.........
#make
#insmod parlelport.ko
#mknod /dev/parlelport c 60 0
#echo -n A>/dev/parlelport
But at this time also all my LEDs are blinking[ie;no change]........& the application program is not working

Hi,

I did used the same parlelport module today and I faced the same prob's (all outputs are high all the time, independent of the value that is written to the port). Did you find a solution for this?
