diagnosing system hang

Hi all,

I wrote a linux kernel module, which on loading works fine for some time and then the system freezes. It does not happen at regular intervals and am not able to reproduce.
What i need to know is there any tool which can diagnose the system hang and log messages which could to debug.
Thanks in advance.

hi

u can check out
/var/log/messages

alternatively
u can add up the line

*.* /dev/tty12

to ur /etc/syslog.conf

and restart syslog service
and u can view all the errors and output being generated on the tty12 by
ctrl+alt+F12 at the same time

regards
gaurav
