Right now, I included the source code of OpenSSL 1.02 into the Qt Creator project but there are weird things happening like it doesn't know BIO_F_SSL_NEW and other defines are even though I added #include ....
So, I'm fixing up such things until there are no more errors.
Or, maybe I should compile OpenSSL 1.02 as a standalone project and see if it outputs an SO file.

One of the (many) issues with openssl is that version 1.1.0 broke backward compatibility with 1.0.2, so programs dependent on the old version are stuck until someone does the non-trivial updates. If you can't sleep, try reading the description of the engine API added in 1.1.0.

Yes. I guess they have done too many changes.
As for Xar, I don't know if it is abandoned code or what. There doesn't seem to be any official page.
