borland c++ or converter

Hi does anyone know of a "simple" way to convert a windows 98 program, for which I have the source, written in borland c++, into g++.

I haven't written code for years, so.

Or something that will compile it for linux.

The main problem that you will face will be in any of the Borland specific library calls that your program uses.If it uses them extensively then you will need to find alternatives and either replace them or create your own dummy functions to call the replacement function, if your program uses function from the standard library then you should be able to get it working with just a small amount of tweaking. However, without knowing anything about the program it is difficult to be more specific.

Sorry - you get to port your code manually.

Depending on the program, the effort might be trivial ... or you might wind up simply re-writing the program.

The only way to find out for sure is to start compiling, see what happens ... and take it from there.

Good luck .. PSM

See what you think, ftp://tux.isa-geek.org/windows/dj/djs251s.rar

Sorry I should have mentioned the code is on my ftp.

I have the free widows binary, but it gets a bit slow under wine after about 8 instances.

If you know of a prog like this for linux, I don't need to compile this one
