Artificial Intelligence question

Hello everyone,
i have a homework that i must design an artificial intelligence algorithm and implement it.
the subject is the popular "don't get angry" game.
i must write a program for one player of it that plays the game most cleverly to win the game.

Do you have any suggestions? or any link that i can learn more about this?

It's not quite down my alley, but google "lisp tutorial" for a popular AI platform.

I did expert systems programming for 8 years. Cutest thing I saw was a function that calls itself. Good luck.

I don't know the game, but from having a quick google I would say you may want to look at decision trees. Failing that using that state patterns for desicion making and progress.
