Filesystem for x86 Macs

Dear All,

I've read a lot about the OS X transition to x86. I wouldn't want to get into a heated debate (me being quite blank at the topic) - I just had a wondering question: what kind of filesystem would the Intel version of OS X use?

I'm quite useless at this kind of thing as well, so please humour me and explain what and why OS X would use the FS it would use.

Thanks!

Akiva

Same as it uses already, I'd imagine - no need to change the FS just because the processor's different.

Thanks for replying oneandoneis2! I quite honestly was having doubts if anyone would bother replying...

Akiva

P.S. It is HFS+ (Mac OS Extended w/ journaling) right?
