hai,i have mandrake linux in pc..the xchat is not properly working......which proxy server should i choose...
1)socks5
2)socks4
3)wingate or any other
my mozilla working with HTTP .
i tried for each one...nothing connected...one time it said CONNECTED PLEASE LOGIN...
after that works.....so please what i do....
i asked that question since u mentioned about wingate whic is a windows proxy server.
for linux , the best proxy server i have seen and used is squid proxy server
u might ber having that installed in ur distro or check out ur CDs for the package
