I have been trying to get my wireless pcmcia card working for ages on 9.2 and knowing it worked on RH9.0 I was disappointed not to find the pcmcia loaded, nor could it find the pcmcia in dev/proc with 9.2.
Just upgraded to 10.0 beta 2 and guess what it found the card (orinco cs) and connected first time -like 9.2 worked first time with my wireless usb.
looking forward to the release, pity about the mouse and loss of my totem playing my dvd's, I hope they get it right for the release as it uses the 2.6 kernel, I'am pleased and thought you chaps should know.
9.2 you should have just been able to modprobe the oronico modules and then configure your card. Most likely it was just the installer failed to do this for you, etc.
Didn't know modprobe, so I cannot test this as I have upgraded to 10.
On the MandrakeUsers.org Board Forum LT01 it describes only the cardctl and how easy it is. Maybe, I had somehow modified 9.2, or it did work with 9.1. The usual thing with Redhat is to use Cardctl ident, as the Mandrake Forum says.
Anyway, my next test with the laptop -and 10.0- is using a Tornado Ethernet/ISDN combo card in the pcmcia slot, for places with ISDN and no wireless.
