I know it's little help, but I use the Lioncom wireless usb on Mandrake 9.2 on novatech Notebook and it needs no setup works straight away.

I have tried 4 different pci cards on my Notebook with Man9.2 and none worked. I am going to try again tomorrow wi the Biantone card which is on special offer, so I am really keen to get it going.

If you can let me have pointers on how to setup these cards it would help?

check out this website on how you could get your pcmcia card working. refer to the drivers page (provided on the website above) to see which driver does your wireless card use.

ANyway, the reason why my 350 isnt working is becuz of the firmware, i read a post on the internet discussion regaridng a user with mandrake 9.1 with 350 lancard. He went to change the firmware to 2.*.43 <- smething something .43, provided by cisco website. So i did the same thing, automatically, mandrake installs it complete. What i finish up was the network wizard installation and phew! thats all.

/sbin/cardctl ident <- checks whether is your card recognise also.

I did and for Mandrake 9.2 it does not work.

Can't get past first base as Man 9.2 doesn't have in sbin any cardctl

Anyone, suggest any other identifier mechanism. Desperate to get this card to work as they are on offer at £10.
