why wont my mouse work properly with kde?

Hey, I am running mandrake 9.1, and recently my mouse stopped working properly under the kde desktop. My left mouse click only moves the window, and the right click resizes it. I dont have this problem when I use gnome, but I hate using gnome, so I want to fix the problem in kde. I have changed the mouse settings to no avail, and i dont know how much frustration my mouse can handle before it stops working entirely

I know that the defaults in KDE specify that when the ALT key is held down, left-mouse will move the window and right-mouse will resize it. Maybe your ALT key is stuck?

That, or there is some other modifier key assigned to those things (instead of ALT) which KDE thinks is being held down.
