What starts imwheel?

I am trying to get the forward and back buttons on my IntelliMouse Explorer 3.0A. I have finally figured out how to get them to work, but now I can't figure out how to make them work automatically. Imwheel is the program that maps the buttons to keys. It automatically starts when I start up the computer, but it starts with the wrong settings. I can't figure out how to get it to start with the right settings and I don't know what is making it start when the computer starts up. To get the buttons to work I have to kill the imwheel that starts when the computer starts up and then run it again with the correct settings. If I could figure out what is making it start I could try to mak e it start with the correct settings or I could disable it and put a shell to start it up in .kde/Autostart. I am pretty new to Linux so if you could give step by step instructions that would be great!

I've read the post but I have already looked in all of those places. I still can't figure out what is starting imwheel. Could someone please list the different things that could make imwheel start when the computer starts?

After a short search, it appears to be /etc/X11/xinit.d/imwheel (mdk9.2).

Cheers,
matze

Thank you very much. I can't believe I couldn't find it myself! I was sure I looked there several times. I must have overlooked it or something.
