Upgrading to 9.2 with urpmi?

Can I use urpmi --auto-select to upgrade from 9.1 to 9.2?

it would probably work, but I wouldn't suggest it. There are apparently several packages on 9.2 that were "re-engineered" (many KDE packges were split into smaller packages). I've seen complaints from a great deal of users who have reported problems (esp. w/ KDE) caused by upgrading instead of a clean install.

Personally, I never upgrade. I always backup configurations and /home and install fresh. This is what I suggest you do.

Mandrake, and its supporters, like to claim that urpmi is their version of Debian's apt. Obviously that just is not true, because apt lets you update automatically.
