Setup Stops Working

Hello,

Today, I solved a problem I had with a monitor that couldent start setup because it was "out of range" so I switch to a more beefy monitor and its no longer out of range. So setup starts fine, detects USB's and such then it gets to a blank screen and says, "Proceeding, please wait" I gave it about 5 minutes, (maybe I should show more patience? ) and it dident do anything. I'm just not having much luck here! Possibly it dident burn well to the CD?
Welp, if anyone can help me out here I would greatly appreciate it!

I think I may try it again and give it some more time..
If that doesent work maybe I should try to burn the ISO again..

With Metta,
Tristan

Nah just being flippant
Sounds like the disc could be corrupt , I would get another by d/l or magazine DVD and retry.
I dont follow what you mean by setup. Mandriva installs from a DVD on my machine and goes immediately into a screen menu which tells you where you are at.
Perhaps also you have a memory problem .I would put a finger on top of the memory chip or chips and wiggle to ensure they are seated properly and if left for a few months the contacts might be getting corrosion problems . I have 90% humidity nearly all the time so its a factor here

Mandriva loads up the memory with the boot program and if it cant do this it will hang I suppose
