Please Help Me [Mouse Problem]

please help me, I have mandrake 9.1, i tried to swtich my mouse to a usb mouse that i had and it didn't work. The usb mouse is old and doesn't work. The problem is my ps/2 mouse isnt working now. How do i switch my mouse back to ps/2? The damn manager thing to change my mouse can only be browsed with a mouse and not the keyboard.

Im trying really hard to make the switch to linux it would be great if i could get some help, thank you.

Very few GUI tools cannot be navigated using tab, space, Enter and alt+up/down. You didn't say which distro you're using so I can't check if it will work with yours.

However, the basic configuration (for X at least) is held in /etc/X11/XF86.conf or XOrg.conf. You need to specify the pointer device to the appropriate device; usually /dev/mouse is set up as a symbolic link to the mouse that you actually have.
You might get away with just changing /dev/mouse to point to /dev/psaux:
Code:
cd /dev
su -c 'rm -f mouse; cp -s mouse psaux'
