Mandriva 2007 upgrade no good
I have a Mandriva 2006 PowerPack VMWare image with the VMWare Tools installed. I downloaded the Mandriva 2007 PowerPack DVD and did an upgrade. When it rebooted I had no X server because it did not like the vmmouse module in the xorg.conf. So I tried two things, first deleted the xorg.conf and replaced it with the xorg.confBeforeVMWareToolsInstall and second, deleted the xorg.conf and ran XFdrake, mousedrake, and keyboarddrake. In both cases after reboot KDE would be displayed, I could login and then the keyboard would stop working. No idea why, and no idea how to fix it. Without the ability to type, Mandriva 2007 is kind of useless if you ask me.
I did also do a fresh install of Mandriva 2007 and everything works fine, so it seems it is just the upgrade process that is flawed/buggy.
