When I try ^, a text file appears and the download doesn't start. What's wrong?

Its not a text file, it is a torrent file.

Do you have any bittorrent client instaled? Guess not...

Get one, and then open the .torrent file with it. Only then the download will start.

I use this one, http://pingpong-abc.sourceforge.net/ (windows client & linux).

For linux you have some more, like for ex: Azureus bittorrent client etc...

I have found the isos for mandrake 9.2. They are out there if you search the internet. The person does not want them dowloaded from their server because they are using a home cable line.
