mandrake 9.2

Hi,
Now that mandrake 9.2 is out, I would like to know if it has drivers for the "dell" soundblaster Live! card. I have downloaded and installed the drivers on opensound.com, but my speakers crackle every now and then. It would be nice if mandrake 9.2 has drivers for this headache of a sound card, as a loadable module.
Thanks in advance for any info in this regard.

Sanjiv

Mandrake 9.2 is already out? I thought that "Download version" ISO's weren't accesable till the end of octobre?

If you're a Club member, you can download with bittorrent. All others wait a couple of weeks for ISO's

sorry, I just checked it out and the public ISO's are released since (I think this morning GMT +01:00). I am downloading them as we speak, otherwise Mandrake made quit a mistake ;-).

Greetingz,

You sure you aren't downloading 9.2rc2?

If not, where are you downloading it from?

And is it the same that will soon be available on official FTPs ??? or is it something like Mandrake Deluxe Premiun Ultra Pro ... 9.2 ?

I'm saying that because I don't want such a verion, I want the regular free version ... just before everybody else ...

it is the same version as the mandrakeclub members are getting. (it was probably one or more of the members that posted it on suprnova)

Yes, its the Download Edition, or as you say "regular free version"!

The same that will be available in 15 days on FTP's.

Go get it!

I have a Dell with SBlive and I'm running Mandrake 9.2 using the default ALSA sound system. It works great, but you have to unmute the sound and raise the volume control levels in alsamixer to get sound.

HTH...
