Hi,
Now that mandrake 9.2 is out, I would like to know if it has drivers for the "dell" soundblaster Live! card. I have downloaded and installed the drivers on opensound.com, but my speakers crackle every now and then. It would be nice if mandrake 9.2 has drivers for this headache of a sound card, as a loadable module.
Thanks in advance for any info in this regard.
sorry, I just checked it out and the public ISO's are released since (I think this morning GMT +01:00). I am downloading them as we speak, otherwise Mandrake made quit a mistake ;-).

Yes, its the Download Edition, or as you say "regular free version"!

I have a Dell with SBlive and I'm running Mandrake 9.2 using the default ALSA sound system. It works great, but you have to unmute the sound and raise the volume control levels in alsamixer to get sound.
