Mandrake 10 official install and crashes
I just installed mdk10 official, and i don't seem to be able to make it boot properly. The first time i installed it, everything seemed fine, then after the first reboot it got stuck at "registering Mozilla". Since it kept doing that, i reinstalled it. Everything seemed ok, rebooted and it all worked fine. At that point i left it since it was getting late..then the next day, start the computer and just about everyghing failed. Rbooted, some things loded but then it came up with invalid file system.
After a couple of reinstalls (it would not start X, stuck at ethernet initalization) i just managed to boot twice in a row...wow(1 freeze). I'm not sure what to do or how to determine what is wrong.
This is what i'm running:
nf7-s(nforce2)
2*sata (dual boot with xp)
I did not get a chance to fix the sound(on mb) or the dirver for the video card 9600pro
I tried CE before, and after some truble i got it to work(actually better than official, but lilo would not load xp which is why i got official), the one difference that i noticed is that the CE kernel had enterprise and now it's i686-up4GB.
i'm really new at this so i really have no idea what to do next. Any sugestions? It just doesn't feel right giving up on it.
