I'm a newbie to Linux administration. I recently got sshd running on my Mandrake box, but ever since then I'm unable to use the ssh client to connect to outside machines. And it was definately working before I got the sshd deamon up and running.
There is no ssh executable anywhere on my system, yet when I type "urpmi ssh" I get "Everything already installed". And when I type "ssh my.server" I get "bash: ssh: command not found".
Any advice? Sorry in advance if I'm missing something obvious ...
Also, make sure that "echo $PATH" includes /usr/bin, but if it doesn't you'd be having much bigger problems, I suppose. Check if a file called ssh is in fact in /usr/bin, or something with a similar name.
In general, how can I tell what my options are for rpm packages to install? In this case I didn't
know what to look for. Is there a nice interface (command line or web) for browsing or searching the packages available?
